Local Law 87 May Require an Energy Audit for Your Building
Local Law 87 requires that all New York City buildings over 50,000 square feet have an energy audit performed once every 10 years, with the first reports due in 2013. The intent of Local Law 87 is to ensure that buildings owners are made aware of energy saving opportunities in their buildings. More often than not, these energy savings equate to cost savings.
