When this building was completed in 1972, it was the largest building in the world. Today, it is still the largest in New York by floor area. It serves as headquarters to Standard & Poor’s as well as EmblemHealth.
PowerCon designed and oversaw the installation of a submetering system throughout the building. This allowed tenants to be individually metered for their actual electric usage. Currently, PowerCon is planning to map out the submetering zones in an adaptable format which could be updated with any tenant turnover. This will assist management by ensuring that each tenant is being properly submetered for usage in their space.
